The Russian language is in the eastern group of Slavic languages which belong to Indo-European family of languages. In terms of native speakers, it is the eighth in the world, and the fifth most speakable language. The Russian is a national language of Russian people, the main language of intercommunication in the central Eurasia, Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, and one of the working languages of the UN. It is the most widespread Slavic language and the most speakable in Europe – both geographically and by the number of native speakers. It also possesses the fourth place among the most translatable languages, and the seventh place by the number of translated books. In 2013, the Russian language became the second most popular language of the Internet.
